Warner Bros. has started advertising their own picks for possible Oscar nominations from the Motion Picture Academy. Of course they want as many as possible so they are putting all the actors forward, but I'm happy to see they are highlighting Alan Rickman and Dan Radcliffe. Maggie Smith might also be someone to watch.

Yes, it starts with Prince's Tale and has Dan Radcliffe talking about working with "Alan" in the middle! Hooray for WB - is this the start of their Oscar push for Rickman? I hope so! :)

I know ~ I'm bummed out, too. The guy who played Tyrion Lannister on Game of Thrones - Peter Dinklage - beat out Alan Rickman.

Of course Dinklage plays on a TV show, and AR is from the movies, but they mix and match. I'm sure he's a great actor - he just won an Emmy also. I don't have HBO so I haven't seen the show, and probably wouldn't anyway ( Read more... )
